After receiving votes in numerous equestrian coaches polls over the last two years, the South Dakota State equestrian team cracked the top-10 in the final poll of the fall semester released on Wednesday, debuting at No. 9.
"It's exciting to break into the top-10," head coach Megan Rossiter said. "We rode well in all of our events, which allowed us to reach the No. 9 spot. It's a great way to finish the fall season."
The SDSU equestrian team closed the fall portion of its schedule with four straight wins, including victories over then No. 3 Georgia and then No. 9 New Mexico State at the DeHaan Equestrian Center.
The Jackrabbits get the season restarted on Feb. 23, when they host Minnesota-Crookston at the DeHaan Center at 9 a.m.
