The South Dakota State equestrian team hosts two teams at the DeHaan Equestrian Center this weekend, starting with Sacred Heart on Saturday at 8 a.m. and SMU in a hunt seat only show on Sunday at 10 a.m.
The two shows mark the last home events of the season for the Jackrabbits, and the last home meet for the competing seniors of the team.
"These ladies worked very hard to prepare for this last home show," assistant coach Kamerra Brown said, "I know they're ready to face two strong teams this weekend, but a win will not be an easy task."
The Jackrabbits faced both teams last season, earning a win over the Pioneers in Fairfield, Conn., and falling to the Mustangs in Dallas, Texas.
"We have great momentum going into this weekend," head coach Megan Rossiter said, "I feel confident that if we continue to ride like we have been in practice, we're fully capable of beating both of these teams."
After this final home meet, South Dakota State travels to Fresno, Calif., to ride against the Fresno State Bulldogs and New Mexico State Aggies next weekend.
