FRESNO, Calif. - The South Dakota State Equestrian team hits the road for the first time this spring for a pair of meets in Fresno, Calif.  The Jackrabbits ride against Fresno State and New Mexico State for their second doubleheader in as many weeks.

The Jacks  open the weekend on Friday against the host Bulldogs, and then take on the Aggies on Saturday.

The meets start at 9am for both days of showing and should be a good match up against an unranked, but strong, Fresno State team and No. 10 New Mexico State.

"Last weekend our riders definitely demonstrated that they're ready to compete against some tough competitors," head coach Megan Rossiter said. "The key is maintaining our focus through this weekend and we should be very successful."

The Jackrabbits get a short break between competitions and come back in late March to travel to Tennessee to compete at the UTM tournament, where they ride against the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks and in a rematch with both New Mexico State and Fresno State.
