South Dakota State sophomore Mallory Onisk has been named Mid-Continent Conference Swimming and Diving Athlete of the Week following a record-setting performance last week.

A native of Bear, Del., Onisk won the 200 butterfly and was part of two school records in a dual against Wisconsin-Green Bay on Dec. 9. She posted a winning time of 2 minutes, 10.67 seconds in the 200 butterfly and later broke her own Jackrabbit school record with a time of 4:42.38 in the 400 individual medley. She also swam on SDSU’s record-setting 200 medley relay, which placed second with a time of 1:53.96.

The Jackrabbits return to competition during their winter training trip Jan. 3-10 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
