The Jackrabbits will wrap-up their indoor season this weekend with The Summit League Indoor Championships. The University of South Dakota is the host for 2013 Summit League Indoor Championships.
ABOUT THE MEET:
The indoor championships are taking place at the DakotaDome in Vermillion, S.D.
Competition will start Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with the 60-meter hurdles (women’s pentathlon).
The events on day two will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the 60-meter hurdles (men’s heptathlon).
DEFENDING HER TITLE:
Brooke Garner won the weight throw last year with her mark of 61’ 3.43”.
TOP-FIVE IN THE SUMMIT:
LeAndre Kennedy ranks fourth in the 60-meter dash (6.98).
Gina Fritz is fourth in the 200-meter dash (25.44).
Michael Krsnak ranks fourth in the mile with his time of 4:13.85, and ranks second in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:17.76.
Tera Potts is first overall in the mile with her time of 4:55.02.
Trent Lusignan is third in the 3000-meter run with his time of 8:30.00, and ranks fifth in the 5000-meter run with his time of 14:26.68.
Erin Hargens is fourth in the 5000-meter run with her time of 17:33.56.
The women’s 4x400 relay team is fifth with their time of 3:52.58.
The women’s distance medley team is second with their time of 12:17.50.
Connor Berg ranks fifth in the high jump with his mark of 6’ 4.75”.
Kali Olson is fifth in the high jump with her height of 5’ 6.00”.
Jeremiah Ary is fifth in the triple jump with his distance of 45’ 3.50”.
McKenzie Johnson and Shelby Assmus rank third and fifth in the shot put respectively with their marks of 47’ 7.75” and 46’ 6.75”.
Garner ranks second in the weight throw with her distance of 59’ 10.50”.
Assmus and Johnson rank fourth and fifth in the weight throw respectively with their marks of 56’ 2.00” and 55’ 2.25”.

The Jackrabbits will be back in action at the Missouri Relays in Columbia, Mo. on March 22 and 23. The Missouri Relays will mark the beginning of the outdoor season for SDSU.
