The South Dakota State men's and women's track and field teams combined for seven titles at the Jim Duncan Invite...
On the men's side, Greg Vollmer took the top spot in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:17.08. It is his best time of the season by over 14 second.
In the field events, Jake Sanderson was best in the triple jump with a distance of 44 feet, seven inches.
On the women's side, Tera Potts matched Vollmer's feat by taking the steeplechase title. Potts finished more than 13 seconds in front of the runner-up.
Brooke Garner continued to excel in throwing events. Garner won the discus with a throw of 159 feet, seven inches, better than second place by over 11 inches. Garner also won the hammer throw with a toss of 187 feet, 11 inches, best by nearly 20 feet.
Bren also won the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.39.
The Jacks also had numerous second-place finishes.
On the men's side, Cullen Mack placed second in the discus with a throw of 148 feet, three inches.
Jake Schneller finished in second in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:50.11, the third-best time in SDSU history.
In the 400 meter hurdles, Brandon Priebe finished second in 53.09.
For the women, Mary Wirth was second in the high jump with a height of five feet, five inches.
McKenzie Johnson finished second in the shot put with a toss of 44 feet, four inches.
In the 800 meter run, Krista Creager was second by .17 seconds.
Fritz was the runner-up in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.94.

Next week SDSU splits its squads between three meets: Mt. Sac Relays, Doane College Relays and Long Beach State Invitational.
Both the Mt. Sac Relays and Long Beach State Invitational take place in Calif. (Walnut and Long Beach), while the Doane College Relays take place in Crete, Neb.
