Best pole vault of the year came at the Nebraska Tune-Up with a height of 11 feet, ¼ inch (2/19) ... had an outdoor season best pole vault of 10 feet, 11 ¾ inches at the Jim Duncan Invite (4/10) ...season best javelin throw occured at the Summit League Championships with a distance of 108 feet, 9 inches (5/13)

2008-09

Won the pole vault at the Derek Miles Open with a height of 10 feet, 11 ¾ inches (12/10) … had a season best pole vault of 11 feet, 3 inches to finished fourth at the Bill Hillenbrand Open, fourth best in SDSU history (2/7) … won at the Mount Marty Invite with a pole vault of 10 feet, 6 inches (3/29) … had a team season best pole vault of 11 feet, 7 ¾ inches to finish fifth at the Summit League Championships (5/14)

 

2007-08

Did not competed during the indoor season... during the outdoor season, placed second in the pole vault at the Howard Wood Relays with a height of 11 feet... had a season best in the pole vault of 11 feet, 7 3/4 inches to finish fifth at The Summit League Championships... finished third in the pole vault (11 feet, 3 inches) at the USF Twilight

 

2006-07
Indoors, had a season-best pole vault of 10 feet, 6-3/4 inches during a seventh-place finish at the MSU Open on Dec. 9 ... had three top-10 finishes in pole vault ... during the outdoor season, had a pair of third-place finishes, including the Jim Duncan Invite, where she cleared a season-best 11 feet ... won the pole vault title at the Howard Wood Relays after tying her season-best of 11-0 ... ended up in fourth at the Independent Championships with a height of 10-10

 

Before SDSU
Mortenson lettered four years at Sturgis Brown High School ... three-time state qualifier in the pole vault ... finished third at the state track meet in 2006 ... three-time state place-winner ... also competed in tennis, gymnastics and cheerleading ... all-conference selection in tennis in 2005 ... nominated for the Outstanding Female Athlete and Elite 15 by the South Dakota Activities Association ... also excelled academically, as she was an academic all-conference selection and a member of the National Honor Society
