The South Dakota State men's and women's cross country finished in 3rd and 4th, respectively, at the OZ Memorial in Minneapolis, Minn.
The OZ Memorial was hosted by the University of Minnesota and consisted of six men's teams and seven women's teams. In the men's field, 77 competitors ran the 6k. On the women's side, 130 competitors ran the 6k.
As was the case in the opening meet, senior Greg Vollmer was the top finisher for the Jackrabbits in the men's field, finishing in fifth place. Vollmer ran the course in 19 minutes and 32.97 seconds, 13 seconds behind the leader.
In the women's race it was the same story, as junior Erin Hargens once again led the Jackrabbits, finishing in 15th place. Hargens finished the course in a time of 23 minutes and 30.34 seconds. The leader finished in 21:17.87.
Lusignan, a freshman, finished in 12th place with a time of 19:45.42.
Ailts, a junior, finished in 21st place with a time of 19:59.19.
Schmidt, a senior, finished in 32nd with a time of 20:30.36.
Beesley, a senior, finished in 47th with a time of 21:02.58.
Potts, a junior, finished in 27th with a time of 24:16.57.
Neubert, a freshman, finished in 31st with a time of 24:33.90
Creager, a junior, finished in 46th with a time of 25:04.94.
McCann, a junior, finished in 49th with a time of 25:11.85.

The women's cross country team returns to action next week at the Dakota State Invitational in Madison, S.D. The Dakota State Invitational is set to begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The men's cross country team takes a break from competition, returning to the course on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Griak Invitational. The Griak Invitational also takes place in Minneapolis, Minn., and is set to begin at Noon.
The women's team will also be at the Griak Invitational.
