Race Times

10:30 a.m.:  Jay Dirksen Men’s 8000 meters
11:10 a.m.:  Women's 5000 meters
11:45 a.m.:  1k kids run
12:00 p.m.:  Awards

Location: Edgebrook Golf Course; Brookings, S.D.

1.5 miles south of the intersection of Sixth Street (exit 132 of I-29) and 22nd Avenue

Course: Men-8,000 meters and Women-5,000 meters consisting of 1k and 2k loops. The men will go 1k-1k-2k-2k-2k loops and the women will run 1k-2k-2k loops.

Awards: The top 15 finishers and first five non-Division I finishers will receive awards.

Entry Fee: $150 for college teams ($75 for just a men’s or women’s team).   For teams with less than seven runners for either gender, the fee will be $10 per athlete entered. Checks can be made payable to SDSU. Unattached runners may compete with a $10 entry fee, but they must contact the meet director prior to entry deadline.  Athletes will be provided numbers with embedded chips.  

Entries/Timing: VP Timing will provide chip timing of the event.

Please make sure to update your rosters in TFRRS prior entering the meet.

Entry Deadline: Entries must be completed by Thursday, October 1st by 6 p.m (cst). Late entries will be charged an additional $50.

Scoring: Five runners will constitute a team, there will be sets of results created to separate NCAA Division I schools from the non-Division I schools.

Packet Pickup: Packets will be available at Edgebrook Golf Course starting at 9:15 a.m at a tent near the start/finish area.

Course Inspection: The course will be open prior to the race. Athletes can also use the perimeter of the golf course on the eastern edge and the bike trails on the northern side of the shelter belt and western edge of the golf course. Avoid all other areas of the golf course.

Trainers: Trainers will be on duty beginning at 9:15 a.m. Saturday.

Toilet Facilities: Portable toilets will be available in the parking lot. Please instruct your runners and families NOT to use the facilities in the clubhouse. ABSOLUTELY NO COMPETITORS OR SPECATATORS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CLUBHOUSE.

Parking: Teams with buses can drop off athletes near the clubhouse. Buses should park at the University Mall parking lot and return for pickup at 1:00 p.m. If the weather is inclement buses will be able to park in the golf course parking lot on the north and west ends.  Schools with Vans and People Movers can park in the parking lot on the north end of the lot. Spectators will be required to park in the field south of 3M (look for signs), or the University Mall located 3/8 miles north of the golf course on 22nd Avenue. The golf course is open during the meet; it is important that the golfers have access to the parking lot.

Showers: Teams needing showers should contact Coach DeHaven in advance to arrange for shower facilities.

Team Camps: Team camps should be located just east of the athletic training tents near the finish line. Please refrain from establishing team camps around the clubhouse or cart garage.
