The South Dakota State men's tennis team won five matches across six singles flights and three doubles flights at the 2011 Hotels at Grand Prairie Classic over the weekend in Peoria, Ill.
The Jacks competed with four other schools at the even, hosted by Bradley, including Green Bay, IUPUI and Saint Louis..
James Thorp and Parker Lawley joined forces for No. 2 doubles team, and a 2-2 record, beating the No. 2 teams from Saint Louis and Bradley.
At No. 3 doubles, Jamie Dash and Dominic Rossetto posted a 0-2 record before Rossetto withdrew due to injury. Dash played the remaining two matches with a player from another school, but did not earn a victory.
In addition to playing doubles, Lawley also picked up a win over the Saint Louis No. 3 en route to a 1-3 record.Baron topped the Green Bay No. 5 to finish 1-3.

The Jackrabbit men return to action on Saturday and Sunday in Omaha, Neb., to compete in the Omaha Collegiate Invite. The invite begins in the morning and lasts all day.
