BROOKINGS, S.D. – The SDSU track and field teams will be opening up their season at the Chuck Peterson Open in Mankato, Minn. on Saturday.
This will be the first meet of the year for SDSU. Last week the both Jackrabbit teams were picked for a third place finish in the Summit League.
The teams at the Chuck Peterson Open are:
Augustana
Dakota State
MSU-Moorhead
MSU-Mankato
NIACC
SDSU
Sioux Falls
Winona State
The meet is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start. The field events will be held first followed by the track events at 12 p.m. This is the lone meet for the Jacks for the month, SDSU will be back in action on Jan. 12, 2013 at the NDSU Invite in Fargo, N.D.

Long Jump (men followed by the women)
11:30 a.m. High Jump (women followed by the men)
Pole Vault (women followed by the men)
Shot Put to follow the Weight Throw (women followed by the men)
Triple Jump to follow Long Jump (men followed by the women)
