MORTON, Minn. - The South Dakota State golf team is currently in second place in battle for the Dakota Cup, competing against North Dakota State and the University of South Dakota. The Jackrabbit men and women have a combined score of eight using a modified Stableford scoring system (eight points for a double eagle, five for an eagle, three for a birdie, one for a par, negative one for a bogey and negative three for a double bogey or worse).
NDSU is in first with a score of 26, while USD is in third with a score of -105.
The Jackrabbit men compiled a score of 34. Hudson Carpenter leads the men with a score of 14. Greg Fehrman and Lukas Davison both registered scores of 10. Dillon Schultz tallied a two, and David Smith scored a negative two.
The Jackrabbit women compiled a score of -26. Morgan Fitts leads the women with a score of six. Brittany Hanten registered a four. Amber Houser tallied a negative two. Jordan Trohkimoinen scored a negative four. Myranda Dunmire carded a negative eight. Lindsey Eisenhuth registered a -10, and Alli Plath tallied a -12.
The NDSU men compiled a score of 44, led by Nathan Anderson with a score of 16. The Bison women compiled a score of -18, led by Rachel Roller with a score of 10.
The USD men compiled a score of -21, led by Connor McDonagh-Poh with a score of zero. The Coyote women compiled a score of -84, led by Janice Baumberger and Hailey Sheldahl with scores of negative four.
The Dakota Cup concludes on Sunday.
