DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.-- The Jackrabbit women’s golf team finished in 12th place at the 2012 LPGA Xavier Collegiate Invitational, which wrapped up with the third and final round Sunday.

SDSU shot rounds of 341, 339 and 331 (1011) over the three-day tournament at the par-72, 6,178-yard LPGA International Golf Course.

Morgan Fitts finished in 34th with rounds of 81, 82 and 79 (242). Michaela Kouri shot 84, 89 and 78 (251) to finish 50th after entering the day in a tie for 61st.

Amber Houser finished tied for 60th, posting rounds of 88, 83 and 86 (257). Brianna Janu turned in rounds of 88, 85 and 88 (261) to finish in 67th. Sydney MacDonald rounded out the top-five for the Jacks, shooting rounds of 97, 91 and 97 (285) over the three-day tourney.

Old Dominion University took top team honors, shooting a tournament-best 304 in the final round (312-308-304-924) to edge out Florida Gulf Coast University by six strokes.

Mercer University’s Lacey Fears (73-75-76-224) was the top finisher individually, barely nudging out ODU’s Samantha Morrell (75-75-75-225).

The Jacks head about 90 miles north to Jacksonville to close out the fall season at the Fall Courtyard Classic hosted by Jacksonville State University from Monday, Oct. 15 to Tuesday, Oct. 16.
