Women's golf 11th in Missouri
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Jackrabbit women's golf team turned in a round one score of 319 at the Payne Stewart Memorial on Monday.
The 54-hole tournament, hosted by Missouri State, is being held at the 6,081-yard, par-72 Rivercut Golf Course with 17 teams in the field.
Sophomore Sydney MacDonald fired a 76 and is tied for 18th place after 18 holes.
Freshman Islamiah Fuad is tied for 48th place after an opening round of 80.
Freshman Megan Mingo posted a first round score of 81 and is tied for 57th place.
Competing unattached, junior Alli Plath is tied for 88th place after a round of 87.
Former Summit League member Oral Roberts (296) leads Wichita State (297) by one stroke on the team leaderboard after one round.
Northern Iowa's Kaylee Benson is in first place with a two-under 70 in the first round.
Play was suspended near the end of the second round due to darkness. Golfers will finish off round two beginning at 8:30 Tuesday morning, immediately followed by the third and final round.
