IOWA CITY, Iowa — The South Dakota State women's golf team compiled a score of 322 in the first round of the Hawkeye Intercollegiate on Saturday.  After one round the Jackrabbits are in fifth place of the eight-team and 50-player tournament. 

Play was suspended after the first round due to weather and will continue Sunday morning.

Morgan Fitts shot a 75 and is currently tied for fifth place to lead the Jackrabbits  Katie Purcell is tied for 19th after she tallied a score of 81.  Rachel Hanigan registered a score of 82 and is tied for 22nd place.

Brittany Hanten and Rebecca Swords both shot an 84 and are tied for 29th. Abby Feehan competed as an individual and tallied a score of 92 and is tied for 46th.

The University of Iowa is in first place with a team score of 301.  Individually, Brittany Kelly of Ball State is in first place with a score of 71.
