BRADENTON, Fla. — The South Dakota State women's golf team is in ninth place after the first day of the USF Waterlefe Invitational in Bradenton, Fla. The Jackrabbit women compiled a team score of 625 (321-304) through two rounds in the 19-team and 103-player tournament.
Brittany Hanten is leading the Jackrabbit women with a two-round-score of 151 (75-76) and is tied for 11th place. Katie Purcell is tied for 30th after carding a score of 155 (80-75). Morgan Fitts registered a 160 (83-77) and is tied for 49th. Rachel Hanigan shot a 161 (85-76) and is tied for 56th. Rebecca Swords is tied for 83rd after tallying a 169 (83-86). Abby Feehan competed as an individual and carded a 181 (90-91) and is tied for 100th.
Nova Southeastern (Fla.) is leading the USF Waterlefe Invitational with a team-score of 592 (294-298). Daytona State's Mitsuki Katahira is in first place individually after registering a 137 (69-68). The third and final round will start Tuesday morning.
