Jackrabbit women finish sixth in Missouri
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The South Dakota State women's golf team finished in sixth place out of 11 teams at the Payne Stewart Memorial. The Jackrabbit women compiled a three-round team score of 954 (313-315-326).
Host Missouri State led all teams with a score of 909 (302-306-301).
Individually, Katie Purcell led the Jacks with a score of 235 (82-76-77) and finished tied for 18th. Morgan Fitts and Brittany Hanten both finished tied for 29th after shooting scores of 241 (79-79-83 and 75-84-82 respectively). Amber Houser carded a 243 (80-79-84) and finished tied for 33rd. Alli Plath registered a 247 (79-81-87) and finished tied for 39th.
Lindsey Eisenhuth competed as an individual and tallied a 264 (89-87-88) and finished tied for 61st.
There was a three-way tie for first place amongst Hermine Greyling of Missouri State (225--75-77-73), McCall Christopher of Indiana State (225--74-78-73) and Celeste Gassman of Creighton (225--76-76-73).
The Jackrabbit women close their fall season at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate starting Oct. 23.
