Jackrabbit women in 13th place in South Carolina

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The South Dakota State women's golf team is currently in 13th place at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate. The Jackrabbit women compiled a two-round team score of 597 (312-285) on Sunday and are 44 over par. Play was suspended due to darkness, so many players didn't finish the second round.

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro leads with a team score of 536 (293-243) and is six-over-par.

Morgan Fitts leads the Jacks with a score of 149 (75-74) for five-over-par and is tied for 22nd through 36 holes. Alli Plath carded a 152 (77-75) for 12 over par and is tied for 54th through 35 holes. Brittany Hanten and Amber Houser are both tied for 60th at 14 over par. Hanten shot a 150 (79-71) through 34 holes, while Houser tallied a 143 (82-61) through 32 holes. Katie Purcell registered a 160 (81-79) for 16 over par and is tied for 74th through 36 holes.

Fanny Cnops of North Carolina-Greensboro leads all individuals with a score of 130 (70-60) for two-under-par through 33 holes.

The second round will resume at 8:45 Monday morning and the third and final round will immediately follow.
