Personal bests fall in Fargo
FARGO, N.D. – Ashley Odegaard and the rest of the Jackrabbits found themselves near the top of the standings today at the Thundering Herd Classic. Also numerous athletes recorded personal bests on the day.
Odegaard placed third in the long jump with her distance of 17’ 02.00”. Odegaard also finished second in the 60-meter dash with her time of 7.81 seconds.
In the long jump, Odegaard recorded a distance of 17’ 02.00”. She placed third in the event.
Megan Bren took third in the 60-meter dash with her time of 7.84 seconds and she placed fifth in the 200-meter dash with her time of 25.53.
The Jacks took control of the women’s shot put as they claimed the second through fifth place spots. Shelby Assmus finished second overall with her distance of 45’ 11.96”.
Alex Suhr recorded a time of 5:29.19 in the mile run. Suhr dropped 12 seconds off her personal best in the mile today.
In the 60-meter hurdles Marissia Hagedorn finished fourth with a time of 9.36 seconds. Her time today is her new personal best; earlier this year she ran the event in 9.38 seconds.
Lori Foltz took third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.21.
In the 800-meter run, Bobbie McLaury finished sixth with her time of 2:23.59. Her time is also a personal best for her.
Kali Olson won the high jump event with a height of 5’ 06.00”.
Amy Leiferman placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 11’ 01.75”.
Also the Jackrabbits were competing in the Husker Invite hosted by Nebraska. SDSU found success with three athletes cracking the top-ten in the mile.
Samantha Anderson finished fourth in the mile with a time of 5:08.83. Her time ranks eighth overall in The Summit League.
Tera Potts placed fifth in mile with a time of 4:57.37.
In the 3000-meter run, Jenna Grossenburg clocked in at 10:38.98.
The Jackrabbits are back in action again next weekend as they travel to ISU Classic for events on Friday and Saturday. The ISU Classic is hosted by Iowa State and will take place in Ames, Iowa.
