SDSU golf to host Jackrabbit Fall Invitational
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The South Dakota State golf program is set to host the second annual Jackrabbit Fall Invitational on Sept. 23-24, 2013, at the Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The tournament brings a competitive field on both the men’s and women’s sides and will feature some exciting golf, according to SDSU head coach Jared Baszler.
“We have a strong and equally balanced field this year. I am looking forward to some good battles coming down to the wire on Tuesday. Minnehaha will no-doubt be a good test to crown a true champion,” Baszler said.
Results will be posted and distributed as rounds are completed.
The tournament will feature live scoring (updated every three holes) using BirdieFire.com.
Monday, September 23- 8:30 a.m. shotgun start (36 holes)

The inaugural Jackrabbit Fall Invitational saw North Dakota State capture both the men’s and women’s team titles, led by siblings Nathan and Amy Anderson.
The Bison men beat SDSU by eight strokes with a team score of 877 (290-289-298). The NDSU women’s team posted a score of 933 (309-310-314) to beat UNI by 18 strokes.
The Andersons took home both the men’s and women’s individual medalist honors. Nathan Anderson carded rounds of 74, a tournament-low 68, and 70 for a three-round total of 212, beating SDSU’s Hudson Carpenter by one stroke (70-74-69-213). Amy Anderson shot rounds of 71, 70 and 75 (216) to beat SDSU’s Morgan Fitts by 10 strokes (78-71-77-226).
