SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The South Dakota State women's golf team holds a 15-stroke lead over Augustana after the first two rounds of the second annual Jackrabbit Fall Invitational on Monday.

The Jacks posted scores of 317 and 318 on a blustery Monday for a 36-hole total of 635 at the 5,865-yard, par-71 Minnehaha Country Club. SDSU has all five golfers in the lineup in the top-25 and three in the top-10 heading into the final round Tuesday.

Head coach Jared Baszler said this is where his team expected to be after the opening rounds.

“We are where we wanted to be after day one. We know there is a lot of golf yet to be played. Tomorrow is going to be a great experience for our team to see how they handle playing with a lead," Baszler said.

Freshman Megan Mingo (+17) is tied for 7th place after shooting rounds of 80 and 79 for a 36-hole score of 159 (season low), notching three birdies along the way.
