The initiative is called Harvest Table and is organized by First United Methodist Church in Brookings. Harvest Table takes place every Monday evening at 5:30 p.m in the church's community center.

Wrestlers and other volunteers help by serving one free meal to any community member who needs or wants to partake in the meal.

Five different wrestlers volunteer once per month. Ben Gillette, Joe Rasmussen, David Klingsheim, Hunter Weddington and Dustin Walraven joined former Jackrabbit wrestler Nick Flynn for the first visit.

The Jackrabbit wrestling team opens its season on Nov. 4 by hosting the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open in Frost Arena.
