Jackrabbit Men finish 5th in Idaho
VICTOR, Idaho - The South Dakota State men's golf team dropped to fifth place at the Battle at the Tetons. The Jackrabbit men compiled a 54-hole score of 891 (289-300-302). Utah Valley won the nine-team tournament with a team total of 866 (291-292-283).
David Smith led the Jacks firing a 217 (70-73-74) and finished tied for eighth. Nolan Meyer carded a 220 (70-72-78) and finished 15th. Hudson Carpenter finished tied for 21st after shooting a 224 (74-76-74). Greg Fehrman tallied a 230 (75-79-76) and finished tied for 36th. Freshman Dillon Schultz finished 49th after registering a 236 (78-79-79).
Mason Casper of Utah Valley took medalist honors shooting a 202 (66-69-67). The Jackrabbit men play next at the Fairway Club Invitatonal in Nebraska City, Neb., on Sept. 12.
