MACOMB, Ill. - The South Dakota State men's golf team is tied for third place after the first two rounds Monday at the Beu Mussatto Invitational. The Jackrabbit men compiled a 36-hole score of 600 (308-292) in the 15-team field and are six strokes out of first place.
Dillon Schultz led the Jacks with a score of 144 (74-70) and is in third place. Hudson Carpenter tallied a 147 (76-71) and is tied for 10th. David Smith carded a 152 (78-74) and is tied for 23rd. Greg Fehrman and Lukas Davison are both tied for 55th after registering scores of 160 (83-77 and 80-80 respectively).
Indian Hills Community College leads all teams with a team score of 594 (302-292). North Dakota State is in second with a score of 598 (303-295), and the Western Illinois Purple team is tied with SDSU with a score of 600 (297-303). Nicholas Grubnich of Indiana leads individually with a score of 141 (71-70). The third and final round starts Tuesday morning.
