MACOMB, Ill. - The South Dakota State men's golf team finished in third place at the Beu Mussatto Invitational Tuesday. The Jackrabbit men compiled a 54-hole score of 892 (308-292-292).
Hudson Carpenter led the Jacks, carding a three-round total of 221 (76-71-74) and finished tied for 13th. Dillon Schultz shot a 222 (74-70-78) and finished tied for 15th. David Smith registered a 227 (78-74-75) and finished tied for 24th. Lukas Davison finished tied for 30th after tallying a score of 229 (80-80-69). Greg Fehrman shot a 234 (83-77-74) and finished tied for 42nd.
Indian Hills Community College won the event with a team score of 873 (302-292-279). The Western Illinois Purple team finished second with a score of 891 (297-303-291). Michael McGee of Indiana took medalist honors with a score of 212 (74-71-67).
The Jacks play next at the Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate in Columbia, Mo. on April 9.
