PRIMM, Nev. - The South Dakota State men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Summit League Championships on Tuesday. The Jackrabbit men compiled a 54-hole score of 882 (291-305-286) in the 10-team, 50-player field. Their third round 18-hole score of 286 is tied for the fifth best in school history, while their 54-hole score of 882 is the 10th best in school history.
Greg Fehrman led the Jacks firing a 213 (70-73-70) and finished tied for seventh. Fehrman's 54-hole score of 213 is tied for the sixth best in school history. Hudson Carpenter, who was recently named second team all-league, carded a 222 (74-75-73) and finished tied for 34th. Dillon Schultz tallied a 226 (76-81-69) and finished tied for 41st. Lukas Davison shot a 228 (73-81-74) and finished in 44th place. David Smith registered a 229 (74-76-79) and finished tied for 45th.
IUPUI won the event with a score of 849 (265-291-293). Southern Utah finished second with a score of 849 (278-288-283), while Oral Roberts finished third with a score of 851 (285-287-279). Michael Davan of IUPUI took medalist honors with a score of 205 (64-71-70).
The Jackrabbit men play next for the Dakota Cup in Morton, Minn. on April 28.
