Weather forces changes to final series
With showers and thunderstorms prominent in the forecast, the schedule for this week's Summit League baseball series between South Dakota State and IPFW has been revised.
Instead of playing four games over three days, the two teams are now scheduled to play doubleheaders Thursday and Friday at Erv Huether Field on the SDSU campus in Brookings. Action is slated to start at noon each day.
Should weather alter the schedule Thursday and/or Friday, the teams would attempt to conclude the series on Saturday.
This weekend's series has playoff implications for both teams. SDSU, 32-17 overall, is tied with Oral Roberts atop the Summit League standings at 17-7 in conference play.
