Despite a valiant effort to get Erv Huether Field prepared for game action on Sunday, the final two games of the Summit League baseball series between Oakland and South Dakota State have been canceled due to unplayable field conditions.
More than four inches of rain fell in the Brookings area over the weekend, including two-plus inches Saturday night.
The Jackrabbits will return to action Tuesday at North Dakota before playing a four-game Summit League series at Southern Utah starting on Thursday.
