In the morning against USD, the Jacks were fast out of the gate, earning the doubles point with convincing wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
SDSU fell victim to two close defeats, however, as USD took the first four singles matches that reached completion.
Blackburne put forth a strong effort at No. 2, but was bested 6-4, 6-4. At No. 3, McDougall and her opponent went the distance, but McDougall was outlasted in a full third set, 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
Nasenbeny and Natalia Medina were both in tight second sets when the match was called due to decision.
In the second meet of the day, the Jacks dominated from start to finish, taking the doubles point in convincing fashion. McDougall and Nasenbeny won 8-2 at No. 2, while Bethany Goeden and Medina rolled to an 8-0 win at No. 3.
Singles was more of the same, as SDSU scored three to close out the match.
