Future Jack named to USA team
South Dakota State incoming wrestler Paul Mascarenas was named to the USA team for the Dapper Dan Classic.
The Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic, in its 39th season, announced its lineup on Wednesday and Mascarenas was selected as the 113-pound representative for the USA team.
The classic is set to take place on March 17 at 6 p.m. in Fitzgerald Field House on the University of Pittsburgh (Pa.) campus.
Nicknamed "The Rose Bowl of Wrestling," the Dapper Dan Classic showcases the best individual wrestlers from around the country (USA all-stars) and Pennsylvania (PA all-stars).
Mascarenas is a three-time New Mexico state champion, Junior National Freestyle champion and Greco-Roman All-American. He posted a career record of 130-5 en route to a No. 3 ranking at 113 pounds and No. 27 ranking in the senior class from Amateur Wrestling News.
