South Dakota State’s Mackenzie Angner earns Summit Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Jackrabbits to a pair of league wins over the weekend.

Angner’s 27 kills and 15 digs paced the Jacks in a 3-1 win over Western Illinois on Friday, while her career-high 33 kills and career-high 25 digs led the Jackrabbits to a tough 3-2 win over IUPUI on Saturday.

Entering the weekend, Angner needed 107 kills to become the 13th member of the SDSU 1,000-Kills Club, but her combined 60 kills in the two weekend matches leaves her needing just 47 over the next three home matches to reach the milestone.

Angner set a season-high with a .323 hitting percentage against WIU and topped that mark at .371 the next night against the IUPUI. For the weekend, she averaged 6.67 kills and 4.44 digs per match while hitting .348.
