COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Three South Dakota State volleyball players earned all-tournament team honors after helping lead the Jackrabbits to a perfect 3-0 start at the Air Force Invitational over the weekend.

Ellyce Youngren, Kelli Fiegen and Thyele Rechatiko all represented the Jacks, with Youngren earning tournament MVP honors.

"I'm definitely proud of our effort this weekend at Air Force and getting three selected on the all-tournament team was a great accomplishment for the entire team," SDSU head coach Nanabah Allison-Brewer said. "All three played a big role in leading by example, we're really proud of each of them and we all look forward to a fun season."

A junior from Brookings, Youngren recorded 57 kills and 33 digs in the three matches, including a career-high 26 kills and a career-high 17 kills in a 3-1 win over Boise State on Friday.

A sophomore from Parkston, Fiegen finished the weekend with 26 kills and 22 total blocks, five solo and 17 block assists.

Rechatiko, a senior from Porto Alegre, Brazil, tallied 134 set assists, 23 digs, 19 kills and a trio of block assists over the three matches.

The Jackrabbit volleyball team returns to action this weekend at the Iowa State Challenge, starting with a match against Florida International on Friday at 4:30 p.m., followed by a date with No. 9 Iowa State on Saturday at 11 a.m., and then wrap-up the tournament on Sunday against Green Bay at 1 p.m.
