South Dakota State middle blocker Kelli Fiegen earns The Summit League's Offensive Player of the Week award after turning out top performances against some of the nation's top teams at the Iowa State Challenge over the weekend.

"We're proud of Kelli's accomplishments this weekend and feel she is well deserving of this recognition," SDSU head coach Nanabah Allison-Brewer said. "Kelli works hard every day to improve her game, as well as strengthen team as a whole. We look forward to seeing her continued growth and leadership throughout the season."

A Parkston, S.D., native, Fiegen posted a .545 hitting percentage, only .005 points shy of the five-set program record, and tallied 13 kills with just one error in 22 attempts against Florida International, who received votes in last week's AVCA Top 25 Poll.

She later recorded a .321 hitting percentage with 13 kills against No. 12 Iowa State. For the weekend, she tallied 25 kills with only nine errors, good for a .351 hitting percentage, and 16 total blocks, averaging 1.23 per set.

Fiegen and the Jackrabbits open their home schedule and Summit League play this weekend, starting with UMKC on Friday and Southern Utah on Saturday. Both matches start at 7 p.m. in Frost Arena.
