The Summit League selected South Dakota State middle blocker Kaitlin Klingemann as its offensive player of the week, after the senior lead the Jackrabbits to a 2-1 overall record and a Jackrabbit Invitational title.

"Kaitlin played great the last couple of weeks, and getting her back into rhythm definitely benefits our squad," head coach Phil McDaniel said. "She sees the court very well and her ability to move the ball around makes her very difficult to defend."

Klingemann captures her first career offensive player of the Week award after being named the Jackrabbit Invitational MVP and leading her squad to its second-straight non-league tournament crown. The Omaha, Neb., native opened the week hitting at a .500 clip with 10 kills in a sweep of North Dakota. She then went on to tally 18 kills and a .366 hitting percentage in a five-set win over Green Bay and 15 kills and a .414 hitting percentage against Bradley.

For the week, Klingemann posted a .407 hitting percentage with 43 kills, averaging 3.31 kills per set, 10 blocks, five service aces and 54.0 points

Klingemann and the Jackrabbits open Summit League play on Friday, when they travel to Omaha to take on the Mavericks at 7 p.m. The Jacks open their Summit League home schedule on Sunday against North Dakota State at 5 p.m.
