FARGO, N.D. —South Dakota State University right-side hitter Kristina Martin was named to the Division I Independent all-tournament team following her play this past weekend in Fargo.

Martin, a junior from Hubertus, Wis., tallied 39 kills for the tournament, while also recording 27 digs. Against Providence on Friday, Martin connected on a match-high 17 kills and hit 654 (17 kills, 0 errors in 26 attempts) in a three-game sweep of the Friars. In the night cap, Martin was the lone SDSU player in double figures for kills with 10 (10 kills, 4 errors in 30 attempts) against Utah Valley State. She also added eight digs. Martin closed out the tournament against North Dakota State by turning in a double-double with 12 kills and 15 digs.

For the season, Martin led South Dakota State with 446 kills and a .308 hitting percentage. She was also third on the team in digs with 280.

SDSU finished its season with a 22-12 record.
