KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced Wednesday the 2012 NABC Division I All-District coaches, as selected by their peers, who selected South Dakota State head coach Scott Nagy as the District 12 All-District coach.
"Clearly this is a well-deserved honor for Scott, and the fact that it comes from his peers makes it even more special," SDSU Director of Athletics Justin Sell said. "He not only led the Jackrabbits to the NCAA Tournament with a record-setting season, but he also represented the State, the university and the entire athletic department with class at a national level."
The Nagy led Jackrabbits tied a program record with 27 wins in 2011-12 on the way to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance at the Division I level. In the process, Nagy won his 300th career game and won at least 20 games for the ninth time in his 17 years as the Jacks head coach.
