The South Dakota State women's tennis team capped its undefeated weekend with a shutout win versus Green Bay, its second shutout in three meets.

In its third meet in three days, SDSU swept doubles for the team point. Brooke Henry and Tacy Haws-Lay dominated at No. 2 with an 8-1 win.

Ffion Davies and Jenny Blackburne were one-break winners at No. 1, as were Florencia Magni and Beatriz Souza at No. 3. Magni and Souza posted a perfect 3-0 record this weekend at No. 3 doubles.

Singles was more of the same, as all Jackrabbits were straight-set winners.

Magni won at the top spot 6-0, 6-3. Davies followed her performance with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 2. Blackburne was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at No. 3.

Souza completed her own undefeated weekend with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 4. She did not lose a single set in three matches.

Haws-Lay improved to 3-0 on the weekend, as well, with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5. She only surrendered three total games in the three matches.

Henry closed out the meet and also finished the weekend with three singles. She won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6.

"The girls were ready and focused again today, which was great," head coach Michael Engdahl said. "We have been talking all year about not riding the highs to high and lows to low. The girls were ready to play again and stayed solid today. If we stay consistent and confidence, we can gain a lot of belief from one weekend like this. The girls will put a solid week of practice in before facing Creighton on Friday."

SDSU is back in action next Friday at Creighton before taking its talents to Orlando for four meets during spring break. Start time on Friday is set for 6 p.m. in Omaha, Neb.
