JSN adds two affiliates
Radio coverage of South Dakota State University Athletics will expand this fall with the addition of two new affiliates to the Jackrabbit Sports Network.
Joining the Jackrabbit Sports Network are KJOE 106.1 FM in Pipestone, Minn., and KDSJ 980 AM in Deadwood. Both stations will carry all Jackrabbit football games, select basketball broadcasts, weekly coaches’ shows and the Jackrabbit Daily Sports Update.
Yankton-based WNAX 570 AM will continue to serve as the flagship of the nine-station network. Other affiliates include:
• KBFS 1450 AM – Belle Fourche;
• KJJQ 910 AM – Brookings;
• KORN 1490 AM – Mitchell;
• KOLY 1300 AM – Mobridge
• KGFX 1060 AM- Pierre, and
• KSDR 1480 AM – Watertown.
The addition of KDSJ 980 AM not only enhances statewide coverage, but further expands Jackrabbit Athletics into portions of North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and Nebraska. WNAX and other network affiliates also reach into Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri to widen the coverage map to include all or parts of 10 states.
The Jackrabbit Sports Network is administered in partnership with Jackrabbit Sports Properties, a division of Learfield Sports.
Coverage on the Jackrabbit Sports Network for the 2013-14 athletics season begins at 5 p.m. Central Time on Monday, Aug. 26 with the first John Stiegelmeier Radio Show. The weekly look at Jackrabbit football originates from Cubby’s Sports Bar and Grill in downtown Brookings.
