The South Dakota State University women's basketball team will open its bid for a third consecutive Summit League tournament title Sunday afternoon against North Dakota State.
Tipoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena.
The meeting will be the second in eight days between the Jackrabbits, 16-13 overall, and the Bison, 13-15 overall, who split their season series with each team winning on the other's home floor. SDSU won 64-51 in Fargo, N.D., on Feb. 26, while NDSU won the first meeting of the season, 78-71, on Dec. 4 at Frost Arena.
SDSU won the Summit League Championship in each of its first two years of eligibilty to earn automatic berths in the NCAA Tournament. The Jackrabbits won the 2009 title as the top-seeded team and won the 2010 championship as the third-seeded squad.
