CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Former South Dakota State University women's basketball standout Megan Vogel is one of 40 college seniors participating in the WNBA Pre-Draft Camp this week.
A 5-foot, 11-inch guard/forward, Vogel recently ended her career as the second-leading scorer in school history with 1,850 career points. A four-year starter, she finished third in career three-pointers with 194 and fifth in career rebounds with 783.
During the 2006-07 season, Vogel led the Jackrabbits in scoring at 17.5 points per game, while also shooting 49.8 percent from the field and 39.5 percent (62-of-157) from three-point range. A native of St. Peter, Minn., Vogel's 154 free throws made this season set a Jackrabbit single-season record and her 492 career free throws and 633 free throw attempts also are school records.
At the pre-draft camp, Vogel will get a chance to showcase her basketball skills during individual workouts, as well as during five-on-five scrimmages.
