I am excited and enthusiastic for my travels ahead.  I truly begin to count my blessings. This past summer has been busy with training and preparation for the upcoming Summit League 2012-13 women’s soccer season. The Jackrabbit roster, old and new faces, shares an equal feeling of determination with an ultimate goal of climbing the “summit” on SDSU’s home turf (The Summit League Championship is set for Nov. 2-4 in Brookings, S.D.). We remind ourselves of the great privilege every day brings us; the opportunity to represent South Dakota State University athletics. With a freshly painted jackrabbit on the Fishback Soccer Park pitch, a passion for the game we love grows with the first steps of a new season.

A grueling preseason schedule only molds us players into top shape and strengthens the ties between teammates. Finding myself only hours from my departure to Poland for U-19 national training camp, I think of my teammates in Brookings and wish only to make them proud. Years since my last visit to my family’s birthplace, I reflect in joyous memories and await the return to a place I cherish dearly. To represent Poland on the national team has been a dream of mine since the innocent soccer beginnings merely 14 years ago. I am truly thankful for the support of my family, as well as my second family away from home; SDSU soccer.

Join me as I travel overseas and experience a new world of soccer, one training session at a time.
