Justice honored by NSCAA

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America honored junior midfielder Kaitlin Justice with a Great Lakes Third-Team All-Region selection this past week for her accomplishments on the field.

Justice, the first player from SDSU to be honored on an All-Region team by the NSCAA, started all 20 games this season and led the Jackrabbits in goals scored with seven. The Omaha, Neb. native also led the Jacks with four game-winning goals and was second on the team in points scored with 16.

"It is a wonderful honor that Kaitlin has been recognized by the Great Lakes coaches as one of the best players in our region," said head coach Lang Wedemeyer. "Her commitment and growth as a player and a leader for the team was instrumental in our success this season."

SDSU finished the 2009 season with an 11-7-2 overall record and won a share the Summit League regular season title with a 7-2 record in conference play en route to a runner-up finish at the conference tournament.
