The National Soccer Coaches Association of America named South Dakota State's Danni Healy and Cori Bonte to its Women's Scholar Athlete All-Central Region Teams for their efforts on the field and in the classroom during the 2010-11 school year.

Senior forward Healy earned a second-team selection, while junior midfielder Bonte earned an honorable-mention spot.

To earn the NSCAA honor, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.30 cumulative GPA, be a junior or senior, start at least 50 percent of the games and be a significant contributor on the team.

"It is a great honor for both Danni and Cori to receive this award. Both worked extremely hard on the field and in the classroom and are wonderful representatives of the South Dakota State soccer program, " said head coach Lang Wedemeyer.

An Edina, Minn., native, Healy leaves the soccer program with a 3.38 GPA in nursing. Healy was named The Summit League Offensive Player of the Year for her senior season, as well as an All-Summit League First Team selection. Bonte, a Beresford, S.D. native, finished the year with a 3.45 GPA as a health promotions major and was named to the All-Summit League Second Team following the 2010 season.
