What: Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction
           An event to invest in Lifelong Champions

The Second Annual Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction takes place in Frost Arena on Saturday, April 28, 2012. More than 470 fans, friends and supporters made last year's Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction an incredible success, as they raised over $270,000 that directly impacts Jackrabbit student-athletes.

"Our 2011 auction was a major success," SDSU Director of Athletics Justin Sell said. "We generated funds equivalent to 20 full in-state scholarships for our deserving student-athletes. We raised the bar for this year's event, and anticipate another record-setting auction, and I'm excited to see our dedicated fans and supporters again for this first-class experience." 

The first-class experience is due, in large part, to the great auction items, Jackrabbit camaraderie, superb dining and most importantly the 200 student-athletes who volunteer to help out with the event. 

A special thanks to Orthopedic Institute, First Premier Bank, Beal Distributing, J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines and Aramark for making this event possible.

Points of emphasis:
- All money raised goes to support scholarships for South Dakota State student-athletes
- The Stan Marshall Golf Classic takes place on June 2, 2012
- Auction tickets go on sale Monday, Feb. 27, 2012
