South Dakota State University student-athletes gave back during the recently completed 2011-12 academic year, totaling nearly 2,400 hours of community service activities.

Jackrabbit teams participated in about 40 different community service events, including assisting with Special Olympics, conducting holiday food, clothing and toy drives and hosting a variety of youth clinics. Numerous student-athletes volunteered additional time on an individual basis.
