SDSU leads Commissioner's Cup race
ELMHURST, Ill. — Through the winter sports season, South Dakota State has strengthened its lead in the race for the Summit League Commissioner's Cup.
Jackrabbit teams have compiled 50.5 points, while the University of South Dakota ranks second with 41.5 points. North Dakota State is third with 39.5 points. SDSU and IUPUI were tied for the Commissioner's Cup lead with 21 points following the fall sports season.

SDSU also is atop the standings for both the Dr. William Steinbrecher Men's All-Sports Award and the Dr. Helen Smiley Women's All-Sports Award. The Jackrabbit men have tallied 18.5 points thus far, ahead of a three-way tie for second place among Denver, North Dakota State and South Dakota with 15 points each.
In the women's all-sports race, SDSU leads with 32 points, followed by IUPUI with 27. South Dakota is third with 26.5 points.
The Summit League Commissioner's Cup and all-sports titles will be decided this spring as championships are decided in baseball, softball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's outdoor track and field.
