Menís basketball on a mission in Haiti
The South Dakota State head men’s basketball Scott Nagy, along with a group of men’s basketball coaches and student-athletes, left Brookings on May 8 for a weeklong trip to Haiti, to distrubute shoes and food, and to put on a basketball clinic in conjunction with Samaritan’s Feet.
The group, which also includes SDSU Athletic staff members and members of the community, arrived in Haiti on the eventing of May 8 and got right to work on Thursday with a food distribution, with shoe distributions, a visit to an orphanage and a free basketball clinic all planned for later in the week.
Several members of the team agreed to blog about their experience and share it with Jackrabbit fans on GoJacks.com.
