Jackrabbit men fall at Wisconsin, 4-0
MADISON, Wis. -- South Dakota State fell 4-0 to Wisconsin Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Jacks drop to 2-2 on the year.
"UW played well today, especially in singles," head coach Michael Engdahl said. "There were moments where we need to give more and execute better."
Parker Lawley and Lovro Curcija fell 6-2, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-0, respectively in No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Mateus Moreira, Gary Notkin, Lucas Pereira and Jonny Higham also dropped their respective matches to UW.
In doubles, Lawley/Notkin, Higham/Curcija and Moreira/Lucas Pereira fell 6-2, 6-4 and 6-1, respectively.
"Overall, there were a lot of positives to build off of and we will be ready to go tomorrow," Engdahl said.
The Jacks will take on UW-Eau Claire tomorrow at 10 a.m.
