Men break two records on day two

ROCHESTER, Mich. -- The South Dakota State University men's swimming and diving team broke two school records on day two of the Summit League Championships on Thursday.

The 200 freestyle relay of Ben Bolinske, Phil Albu, Blake Yeager and Wil Hogue placed third with a school record time of 1:23.73. The previous record was 1:24.17, which was set at last year's championships.

Kyle Ochsner finished fifth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:35.40. Blake Yeager finished seventh with a time of 4:39.98. Yeager broke the 500 freestyle school record earlier in the day in prelims with a time of 4:34.98.

Wil Hogue placed third in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.74 seconds, just missing out on breaking his school record of 20.70 seconds. Bolinske finished eighth with a time of 21.16 seconds.

Brad Schoreit placed third in one-meter diving with 267.10 points. Clark Kocourek finished eighth with 243.85 points.

The men are second after day two with 188 points. IUPUI is right behind the Jackrabbits with 186 points. The championships continue Friday morning with prelims.
