ELMHURST, Ill. -- The Summit League has released its preseason swimming & diving poll. The South Dakota State men received 19 points, including a first-place vote and were chosen second behind league newcomer and conference favorite, Denver. On the women's side, SDSU came in fourth with 24 points behind Denver (36), IUPUI (26) and Omaha (26).

Following last year's runner-up finish at last year's championships, the men return a league-high five all-league honorees in Phil Albu, Ben Bolinske, Wil Hogue, Garth Wadsworth and Blake Yeager.

SDSU will also return five all-league performers on the women's side, as Devonne Dalin, Selina Gilbertson, Nicole Grimit, Olivia Olesiak and Kayce Smith all return for the Jacks.

SDSU will hit the pool for the first time tomorrow as the Jacks host their annual intrasquad scrimmage at 4 p.m. in HPER Pool. SDSU will make their season debut Oct. 12 as they travel to Grand Forks, N.D., to compete in a triangular against North Dakota and St. Cloud State.
